Santiago de Chile Private Tour: History, Culture and Panoramic Views

5 hours

Easy

Explore Santiago at your own pace with a private expert guide and premium transportation. From the historic heart to the breathtaking views of San Cristóbal Hill, enjoy an exclusive experience tailored just for you and your group.

Discover the contrasts of one of South America’s most vibrant capitals with Pasión del Sur. Forget the crowded tour buses and rigid schedules; our Private City Tour offers you the flexibility to dive deeper into the sights that interest you most.

We begin our journey at the Historic Center, where colonial history comes to life at the Plaza de Armas, the Metropolitan Cathedral, and the La Moneda Presidential Palace. We will then continue to Santa Lucía Hill, the very spot where the city was founded, before crossing into the modern financial district—affectionately known as "Sanhattan"—to admire Chile’s cutting-edge architecture.

To conclude, we will enjoy a 360° view of the Andes Mountains and the city from the summit of San Cristóbal Hill (includes Funicular or Cable Car tickets).

              • Personal expenses
              • Gratuities (Optional)
                Please note
                  • Monday Closures:  Please note that most museums in Santiago and the San Cristóbal Hill Cable Car are closed on Mondays for maintenance. If you book for a Monday, we will provide a high-quality alternative itinerary with equally stunning viewpoints and cultural spots.

                  • Pick-up Logistics:  We pick up from all major hotels and apartments. If you are staying in an Airbnb, please provide the exact address. Your guide will meet you in the lobby or at the main entrance.

                  • Tailor-Made Experience:  Since this is a 100% private tour, the itinerary is flexible. If you have a specific interest (art, architecture, or shopping), please let your guide know at the start of the tour.

                  • Tap Water:  While tap water in Santiago is safe to drink, it has a high mineral content that may not suit everyone. We provide chilled bottled water for your convenience.

                  • Safety & Awareness:  Santiago is generally a safe city, but like any major capital, we recommend keeping an eye on personal belongings in crowded areas (like Plaza de Armas). Your guide will always be looking out for your comfort and safety.

                  • Dietary Restrictions:  If you plan to stop for a snack or lunch, please let us know in advance if you have any allergies or dietary preferences so we can recommend the perfect spot.

                  What to bring
                    • Layered Clothing:  Santiago’s weather can change quickly. Even in summer, mornings can be cool and afternoons very hot. We recommend "dressing like an onion" (layers).

                    • Comfortable Walking Shoes:  While we use private transport, we will explore some historical spots and hills on foot.

                    • Sun Protection:  Chile has a very high UV index. Please bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock (even on cloudy days).

                    • Camera or Smartphone:  You will want to capture the 360° views from San Cristóbal Hill. Make sure you have enough storage space!

                    • Small amount of Local Currency (CLP):  While most places accept cards, having some Chilean Pesos is useful for small local crafts or tips at restaurants.

                    • Personal ID:  It is always recommended to carry a copy of your passport or ID during the city tour.
